Which one is better at speed and downloading files? I am currently using Google Crome but I know somebody that uses Firefox and it works pretty good to. Which do you like better?|||Definately Google Chrome for the moment, I'm finding it not only fast but with some of the plugins you can now get, I am getting the speed and not missing out on Firefox plugin features. The Google Chrome security is believed to be a lot better as well. If you read this article at:

However Firefox 4 is due out later this year so the battle is not over, but for the moment, Chrome is a worthy choice.|||firefox but that is not going to affect your downloads it depends on speed of your computer, internet connection speed.|||I would say Firefox but Google Chrome downloads really fast.
On second thought, go with Firefox.|||I use Mozilla Thunderbird which is the full suite it works very well have used it for 2 years|||Mozilla Firefox is superb for everything like download any file, open any website because its too much faster compare to other browser.|||Definitely Firefox, it has so many plugin to improve its performance.|||i like firefox, I tried google chrome before and didn't like it. I still have it installed as my backup browser though (in case firefox didn't work for some reason) firefox to me works better, looks better, is easier to use, very customizable, and i can get add-ons that significantly increase speed of browsing (page loading), download speed varies on the connection speed, there's a unfixable problem with my home internet that causes problems with downloading so I can't really tell you if Chrome or Firefox is faster at downloading.
I currently use Firefox 3.6.3, with the following add-ons
Adblock Plus 1.2 - no ads, ever!
Flashblock 1.5.13 - filters flash objects- increases page opening speed
and the theme Chromifox Extreme Carbon 2.0.1 - gives Firefox a new crisp, clean feel.
there are some problems with firefox though, it has a tendency to guzzle lots of ram, up to 300 mb over a few hours. I don't know whether its a windows issue (vista uses up to 3 GB after12hrs and I'm unable to pinpoint why) or a firefox issue, because firefox used alot of ram on my other PCs too, a bit less (200 mb) but the other computers have significantly less ram installed. On my PC I got 12 Gb, so I really don't care. I'm worried without vista using so much, but firefox taking out300 mb is like a drop in the sea kind of deal.
But I'd like to let others know, I think most people don't have 12 GB of ram in their computers.|||I prefer Firefox for my computer. It is proven and tested compared yo other browsers.
