its very simple.. all you have to do is look to the top right corner of chrome (right below the X and minimize buttons) and click the wrench..then a menu should pop up and click options..once there, in the "basics" tab look under Home Page and select the box that says "Show home button on the toolbar"

edit - i found it - click on the spanner on the right, options, basic tab and check the box|||I just open a new tab and close the other one. To bookmark a page click on the star to the left of the web address.
