My google crome stop working?

I was surfing the web one day and i left for 5 mins and my gf used my laptop and i think she broke it. its an acer aspire one the 8.5in one. when i got back many things stop working mainly my google crome, and when i try to system restore either nothing pops up (like the google crome) or it will pop up and nothing will be in the window. but my IE works fine and something about my java on my IE is disabled.and that alll i notice. i really only want my google crome to work.what can i do?|||Uninstall google chrome and then reinstall it.
